This is the re-make of the 1980 film featuring Rajini. Its stylish remake has been appreciated. Having won acclaim from fans here, it's now going overseas to win acclaim there.

'Billa' has been chosen to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18. Films like 'Veyil,' 'Mozhi' and 'Paruthiveeran' have been screened in earlier festivals. This is the first time Ajith's film is being screened at Cannes. It is in the non-competition category.

Vishnuvardhan

It's a great recognition for one's film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival and Vishnuvardhan is going in person to bask in its glory.

It has not yet been finalised whether Ajith will also attend the fest.
