- 05.05.2008

It seems Vijay's 'Kuruvi' did not come up to the expectations of the fans.

No one's weeping over it. It had a great opening like no other film, to such an extent that in some places, it even outdid 'Sivaji.'

In Chennai multiplexes, a film is screened 7 times in a day. Maximum is 15. 'Sivaji' went on to be screened about 25 times. This was a record for Tamil cinema.

The Vijay-Dharani team has outdone the 'Sivaji' record. At one Chennai multiplex, 'Kuruvi' was screened 30 times, something that no other hero can dream of.

At this range, even a 10 day run is enough to make theatre owners happy.
