At last the long awaited 'Dasavatram' will be released in June.

Produced at a cost of Rs.50 crores, Kamal's film is the most expensive hitherto in South Indian language films.

They say that even before the release of the film the producer would earn the money he spent for the film.  The area sales is now getting hot.

The rights for North, South Arcot, Chengleput and Chennai is reportedly sold for Rs.15 crore.  Rights sold are: Madurai for 3 crore, Coimbatore for Rs.4 crore, Salem for Rs.2.5 crore, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari for Rs.1.5 crore and Tiruchi and Tanjavur for Rs. 2.5 crore.

'Dasavataram' is also being released in Hindi.  That alone is sold for Rs.12 crore and created a record.
