A long gap after 'Vattaram,' Charan's next film is 'Modhi Vilayadu'. The film produced by Murali Manohar will have Vinay as the hero.
Charan tried for Tanusree Dutta to be the heroine of the film. He went to Mumbai and narrated the story to Dutta. As she was busy in Hindi films, Dutta refused call sheets and so, Kajal Agarwal is chosen in her place.
Kajal's first film was 'Bommalattam' which never saw the light of day. So, Perarasu's 'Pazhani' introduced her. As 'Pazhani' was as successful as anticipated, Kajal did not get many offers. She is doing a small role as a second heroine along with Megha in Venkat Prabhu's 'Saroja'.
'Modhi Vilayadu' is summer showers for Kajal who was parched without any chance!
