These credentials were given by director V V Kadir.  This is the first film for this one time Seeman's assistant.

"Working with Seeman and Surya Prakash in 'Panchalankurichi' as an assistant director, I learnt skills more than what I contributed.  Now I have made this film from what I learnt and what all I thought about it.  I am confident that this film will make the audience, distributors and the producer happy" says Kadir.  And he added:

"More than an action film for Jeeva for the first time, it would be right to say that he has added a new dimension.  In the role of Kottaisami, he is spreading the village flavour through out the film.  Every young person would get angry looking at the inhuman things that happen in Chennai.  But they would also be helpless in giving expression to it.  But this Kottaisami is not tame nor helpless.  He shall not tolerate any wrong doing and has the will and strength to raise the issue.  He is bound only by affection and never the one to bow down before authority.  Jeeva has lived through this role and the role is enlivened by Jeeva.

Jeeva, Poonam Bajwa

Poona Bhajwa is acting as Gayathri, the music teacher.  As music is liked by everyone, she too will be liked by everyone.  I am happy that she was chosen in Hari's 'Seval' even before the release of my film.  I am sure she will have a place of her own in Tamil cinema. I have introduced Revathi and she has given life to that role like an experienced actor."

Talking about the film, Jeeva said:

"The first day's shooting itself was very exciting.  As we were shooting a fight
sequence, the neighboring paint factory caught fire and we had to escape scaling over the walls.

We confronted several such troubles and I believe that all such confrontations would lead to a great achievement."
