Directors like S J Suryah, Cheran, Seeman, Thankar Bachan, Ameer and Sunder C have all become actors.  'Thimiru' fame Tharun Gopi has become an actor courtesy 'Kaattupayale'.  'Unnai Saranadaindhen' fame Samudrakani is acting as a villain in 'Subramaniapuram'.

Director Ramana is acting as a villain in a film starring Lawrence directed by S A Chandrasekaran.  This is a great boost for Ramana who gave two flops.

Following the footsteps of Ramana and becoming a villain is Saravana Subbiah.  Cinematographer Ravivarman is the one who made a villain out of him who had directed 'Citizen' and 'ABCD'.

Saravana Subbiah will be acting as a villain in his film 'Moscovin Kaveri'. Besides, director Majid will also take a small role in his film 'Ki Mu.'

Most who have turned into actors have become full time actors.  Less work and more money, must be the reason.
