After the successful ‘Paruthiveeran’ and’Naan Mahaan Alla,’ Stdio Green and Karthi team up in ‘Siruthai.’ Karthi dons a dual role for the first time. Tamannah is the heroine. Director is Siva, the brother of actor Bala. Velraj, the cinematographer is famous. The director has given 2 hit films in Telugu titled ‘Souryam’ and ‘Sangam.’
An ordinary young man is in a situation where he has an extraordinary duty to fulfill. The story is about how he manages to do it.
Films are generally labeled as mass film, an entertainer or an emotional one. ‘Siruthai’ is labeled as a mass emotional entertainer and has everything that a film needs to ensure its success. There are emotional scenes, rollicking comedy as well as scenes that will move you immensely.
Karthi, Tamannah and Santhanam will make you laugh. At the same time, the film is full of suspense and the emotional scenes never let the screenplay sag into boredom, says the director.
The crew is made up of talented youngsters. The producer is well aware of how much should be spent and on what and when. So, the producer is spending generously to make the film a grand film, adds the director.
Each actor has his identity. Karthi is blessed with his mischievous nature and his boy next door looks. That’s why the director chose Karthi as the hero. About 70% of the shooting is over. Though the hero plays a dual role, everything is being done systematically without any hurry. In one song, Karthi appears in 9 get-ups.
The villain in the film is based on a real life villain in Andhra. His character is supposed to be an unforgettable one.
Each scene will reflect the handiwork of art director Rajeevan. His set in the mountains at Badami in Karnataka are awesome. The climax is to be shot here.
Karthi jumps down from a 5 story building 150 feet high up and will surely astound the audience. During the shooting, it perturbed even the unit.
Cinematographer Velraj has given a different tone to comedy and serious scenes. He did the camera work for ‘Polladhavan.’
After a gap, Vidyasagar has made some commercial music. There are 5 songs penned by Arivumathi, Viveka and Na Muthu Kumar.
